Winter Brights

Winter Brights

Neon was so hot last spring, and is set to be on-trend again this spring. There’s no reason it shouldn’t be incorporated into our winter wardrobes as well. I think that the key to pulling off bright color, like acid green, in colder months is by incorporating it as a pop of color into an otherwise neutral outfit.

Cashmere Sweater: Holt Renfrew

Neon Silk Blouse: Juicy Couture

Lace Shorts: Free People

25 Things

You know those people who absolutely live and breathe everything fashion? Well, I’m one of them. I’ve been fascinated with all things fashion from a very young age. (Seriously. I know a lot of people say that, but I actually mean it). My mom tells me that almost as soon as I was old enough to string a sentence together, I asked “where’s the pink?” in reference to the fact that most of the clothes in my closet were black, a desperate attempt on my dad’s part not to raise a ‘girly-girl.’ Interestingly, this seemed to have the opposite effect, and from that day forward, I insisted on having as much pink in my wardrobe as possible, and virtually lived in frilly party dresses through the late 80’s and early 90’s. While I hope that my tastes have become slightly more refined over time, my (healthy) obsession with fashion remains intact. In fact, I’m so obsessed with fashion that, even though I’m a full time student at FIDM, and have two internships in the fashion industry, I still felt the need to launch a personal style blog. My hope is that this blog will become a place where I can document my own personal style, share mood boards I’ve made, post street style photos I’ve taken, and discuss new products that I love.
